FCYSC and COVID-19

I know many of you have probably been wondering about our spring soccer and the impact of COVID-19 on our upcoming season. Your safety is our highest priority, and I will try to keep our messages at a minimum but I also want you to be informed about the soccer club, to achieve this I will message only as needed. To stay up to date on the most frequent information please check our Facebook page.

Our parent organization, PAWest has set a date of March 30th, before which no activities are to be undertaken (including practices). This has implications into both our Travel Program and the In-House "Saturday Soccer" programs, which are outlined below. Please be mindful that this situation is ongoing and further statements may need to be made.

For In-House Soccer, we will postpone the start of practices until the week of March 30th. In order to give teams at least two practices before the first weekend of games we would move opening weekend to April 18th. To minimize the impact on future activities, we would keep our World Cup weekend of May 30th.

For Travel Soccer, we will postpone the start of practices until the week of March 30th. At this point in time we have not heard any change to the travel schedule so, be prepared to start games on April 5th. As per the PAWest directive, NO PRACTICES are to be held until March 30th.

We are continuing to monitor the situation, and will update you as needed about the impact to our seasons.
