All parents wanting to coach are required to have a coaching certification.  You have two options to complete this requirement.  Details regarding both options are provided below.  All parents  planning to coach in the fall to please complete this no later that July 15th! 

The PA Child Protective Services Law changed recently. The change requires all coaches and volunteers involved with youth organizations to complete a State Police Criminal Record Check and a PA Child Abuse History Clearance. For individuals employed by a club who have not resided in PA continuously for the previous 10 years they must also complete an FBI Criminal Background Check.  Volunteers must provide a completed and notarized Volunteer Qualification Affidavit if they've lived in PA for at least 10 continuous years; volunteers who have not met the residency requirement must also complete an FBI Criminal Background Check.  This change has raised a number of questions and PA West Soccer is working with members of the state legislature to get answers to those questions.  Additional information will be provided when available.

Complete the online instruction for the National "F" coaching license. The fee for the class is $25.00.  After completion of the class, the certificate can be turned into the club and you will receive a $25.00 deduction off your child's registration for the following season.  If you have a coaching license higher than this you will not need to complete this course.
